The Scout Association provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for over 30,000 young people aged 6-25 across Scotland and is fully coeducational. These young people are supported by over 6000 adult volunteers. Internationally, we have over 28 million young people enjoying the benefits of Scouting  across 216 countries. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential. In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are 'learning by doing,' when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves.
Boy's Brigade The Boys' Brigade is a Christian organisation which cares for and challenges young people for life through a programme of informal education in a fun way. Led by trained leaders, young people from 5 to 18 participate in adventure activities, take an active part in community life and develop skills which help them grow into confident individuals and have their potential as individuals and team members fulfilled.
Girl's Brigade The Girls' Brigade in Scotland is a Christian organisation providing fun and exciting activities in a caring, safe environment. Our programme of activities, delivered by trained volunteers, seeks to encourage and develop individual talents allowing all our members to grow into confident, effective young women.
Guiding is a game - with a purpose. Girlguiding Scotland, enables girls and young women to fulfil their potential and to take an active and responsible role in society through our distinctive, stimulating and enjoyable programme of activities delivered by trained volunteer leaders. 9,000+ adults volunteer their time and skills to help women of tomorrow reach their full potential.
